The Truth About the Canadian Terror Attacks

These weren't, as Prime Minister Stephen Harper contends, purposeful attacks on “our institutions of governance... on our country. On our values, on our society, on us, Canadians.” There were the senseless killings of security personnel by deranged psychos. Both of them cowards. Some French-Canadian guy behind the wheel, believing he was fighting for ISIS. And a petty thief who wanted to go out with a bang. The Ottawa shooter would have died at an old-age as a nobody. If life didn't kill him first. Like Mark Chapman, who wanted to be famous for killing John Lennon, these gentlemen took the bait in front of their eyes. A never-ending news cycle that eats this shit up and the opportunity to go down in history. Immorality.

How many liberties are we going to lose this time? There will always be the disgruntled, the mentally unfit for society. Given the right weapons, they can do mayhem. Canadians have already lost most of their firearm "privileges". Imagine the death-toll if the Ottawa shooter had gone the opposite direction instead – to the Rideau Centre. How many civilians would have died before the police arrived?

But this is not how the Prime Minister sees things. The issue is ideological. We can't let practicalities get in the way. These rampages aren't crimes. They are terrorist acts. Therefore,

“this will lead us to strengthen our resolve and redouble our efforts and those of our national security agencies, to take all necessary steps to identify and counter threats, and keep Canada safe here at home.

“Just as it will lead us to strengthen our resolve and redouble our efforts to work with our allies around the world and fight against the terrorist organizations who brutalize those in other countries with the hope of bringing their savagery to our shores”

The Prime Minister plans to empower the very institutions that failed to do their job correctly. If this is a jihadi attack, perhaps the solution lies in looking at what the terrorists are actually saying. They want Western nations to either get out of the Middle East or attack them. They want to fight against the Great Satan and extinguish its resources. That was the goal of the movement from day one, when they were fighting the Communists in the 1980s via American training and weapons. ISIS is the new face applying the old tactic. Bankrupt the Empire through a never-ending war. It doesn't matter if it's Russian or American. Canadian patriotism is blinding “us” to the reality of geopolitics. Most of us are simply unaware of what is happening and the corporate-state media haven't done very good job of reporting on it. There are simply too many incentives to keep the politics of the deep state in the shadows.

And that's a shame. A real tragedy, it really is. Because uncovering the influences behind war will go a long way in restoring the liberties Canadians have lost, particularly since 9/11. All the supposed freedoms the Greatest Generation fought and died for are decreasing too. Public-private partnerships are the norm and our privacy is negated for national security concerns. Our land, “glorious and free” must be sacrificed for its very own security. The property-protector must invade your property to protect it. They must violate your privacy to keep you free. We are the government. Anarchy is chaos. War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, The Islamic State is not Islamic and it's not a State.
